Why Branding is Much More Than Just a Logo
Your brand is what makes your business unique. It’s what distinguishes you from the pack and pulls you out from the background. While creating a logo for your business is a good start, there is much more work to be done to create your brand.
Your brand should be managed so that you determine how people see your business. If left up to your clients, your business may develop a brand image that is not in line with your vision. In a town the size of St. John’s, Newfoundland, word of mouth messages travel fast. If you don’t work hard to position your business how you want it, you could quickly find your brand image pulled away from you. In order to develop a brand image you desire, you first have to analyze your business and create goals for the future. Once this is done, you can start to get an idea of the kind of images and messages you want to convey to your clients.
Branding is everything – from the design of your logo, to the posts you make on your business’ social media pages. Be mindful that the things you post on social media align with your brand.
Developing a compelling brand image for your business that draws clients in can be a daunting task for many start-ups and small businesses. If you find yourself in need of a helping hand, feel free to drop me an email at mark@vividnl.ca.
